Ben Stiller, Wife Christine Share First Met Gala Date Night in Decade

Ben Stiller and Christine Taylor are sporting fashion.

Ben Stiller and his wife had a memorable night at the 2026 Met Gala in New York City on May 4th, attending the event together for the first time in ten years.

For the “Fashion is Art” event, Christine wore a beautiful strapless blue A-line dress by Bibhu Mohapatra, decorated with beaded flowers. She finished the outfit with jewelry from Nini, including earrings, rings, and a bracelet.

Their outfits might have been a tribute to the actor’s favorite basketball team, who are playing the Philadelphia 76ers on the same night as the Met Gala.

According to USA Today, Ben said the Knicks are currently performing at their highest level ever, and he believes this could be the year they finally achieve success.

The 60-year-old said he wished he were at Madison Square Garden at the moment, but he also expressed his happiness to be where he was.

The couple, who met in 1999 and married in 2000, last appeared at the Met Gala in 2016. That year’s event celebrated the connection between fashion and technology.

But Ben’s focus has always been on his relationship with Christine. 

He told People magazine in October that their ability to laugh together is what makes their relationship work off camera. He explained that after spending many years together and experiencing life’s challenges, sharing a sense of humor and enjoying each other’s company is the most important thing.

Plus, Ben is grateful when he gets to work with Christine, too.

“When we work on screen together, it’s the same thing,” he added. “She really makes me laugh.”
