Rihanna has a special way of making everyone in her orbit shine bright like a diamond. 

As a huge Rihanna fan, I was thrilled to see her magic touch everything at the 2026 Met Gala! She even gave Sheinelle Jones, who was interviewing stars for Today on the Met steps, a little bit of that signature sparkle – it was such a sweet moment!

Rihanna told Sheinelle, while holding her hand, that she deserves to be cherished and appreciated. In a clip shared by Today, Rihanna also expressed her admiration for Sheinelle as a Black journalist, saying, ‘I respect you. I love you for this.’

The praise kept coming. As the 38-year-old walked up the museum steps, she also said, “And by the way, your outfit looks amazing!”

Sheinelle’s custom gown from Lafayette 148, designed by Emily Smith, was a perfect fit. The shimmering, jeweled fabric made her look radiant.

Oh my gosh, after that amazing moment, Sheinelle actually posted a picture with Rihanna! It’s the sweetest thing – they’re both beaming and practically hugging across those little steps. I’m seriously melting just looking at it! It’s a perfect snapshot of pure joy and I can’t stop staring!

The morning show host shared a post explaining that whenever someone tries to show affection, she responds with love in return.

And naturally, Rihanna’s outfit was absolutely stunning. You wouldn’t expect anything less from a Met Gala icon, would you?

Rihanna stunned at this year’s event with a breathtaking gown by Maison Margiela, perfectly embodying the “Costume Art” theme. The dress was covered in over 115,000 crystal beads and antique jewels, and its unique, sculpted shape flowed around her like a cape. Vogue reports that the entire ensemble took more than 1,380 hours to create.

Rihanna’s partner, A$AP Rocky, also made a stylish entrance at the Met Gala. He’s the father of her three children: RZA, 3, Riot, 2, and baby Rocki, who is 7 months old. Rocky was a co-chair of the event last year.

For this year’s charity event, the rapper wore a custom-made Chanel robe designed by Matthieu Blazy. The robe was a bright bubblegum pink wool with black satin details. He paired it with black pants and dress shoes, and accessorized with a small, apple-shaped bag.

Hairstylist Yusef Williams explained to TopMob News that he wanted her look to be delicate and artistic, almost like a sculpture.

To create the style, I first used the Wavytalk Steam Sesh to straighten her roots. Then, I defined her curls with the Cool Curl Pencil, and finished by using the Turblow Pro diffuser to set everything in place, as I explained in a statement.

The lead actress from KPop Demon Hunters honored her Korean roots with a dazzling Swarovski outfit reminiscent of the beautiful court ladies from Korea’s Joseon dynasty.
