Charlie Cox revealed that another actor from the Marvel Cinematic Universe was originally supposed to direct some of the ‘Daredevil’ series. He also shared the reasons why that plan ultimately fell through.
I was listening to an interview with Charlie Cox recently, and he was talking about his great relationship with Tom Hiddleston – they’ve worked together a lot in the MCU. What really surprised me was hearing that Tom was actually supposed to direct an episode of Daredevil: Born Again! Apparently, before the strikes, Season 1 was planned to be 18 episodes long, and Tom was lined up to direct one of them. It’s a shame that didn’t happen, but it’s cool to know they were considering it.
Why Tom Hiddleston Didn’t Get to Work on Daredevil: Born Again
Cox explained that losing that cast member was a real shame, even though the show needed to evolve and the changes ultimately made it stronger. He was slated to direct an episode, and they’d already begun brainstorming and collaborating, which would have been a wonderful experience.
Daredevil: Born Again is currently available for streaming on Disney+.
