It was expected, but now confirmed: Cyan Worlds is bringing remastered versions of the classic games Myst and Riven to PlayStation 5 very soon.
These two beloved games will be released on May 19, 2026, and you can add them to your wishlist on the PlayStation Store today.
Myst and Riven, classic first-person puzzle games originally created for PlayStation and PC in the 1990s by Cyan Worlds, have been completely rebuilt by the same studio. Myst was remade in 2021, and Riven followed in 2024.
These games have been updated with modern controls and graphics, making them look and play fantastic. The PS5 versions are especially complete and offer a full experience.
This game is fully compatible with PSVR2, letting you play on your TV or using Sony’s headset.
Plus, both games are optimized for the PS5 Pro, meaning they’ll look even better with enhanced graphics and higher resolution, especially when played in VR.
Both Myst and Riven on PlayStation 5 and PS5 Pro now have realistic ray-traced reflections. Turning this feature on lowers the game’s frame rate to 30 frames per second, but you can disable it to enjoy a smoother experience at 60 frames per second.
These puzzle games now include support for the PS5’s Power Saver feature, which lowers energy usage by slightly reducing performance. This adds them to the growing number of games offering this energy-saving option.
Each game costs $34.99. While a UK price hasn’t been announced, it’s likely to be around £29.99.
