See Billionaire Sudha Reddy’s $15 Million Necklace at Met Gala 2026

Diamonds are Sudha Reddy‘s best friend.

At the 2026 Met Gala on May 4th, the billionaire entrepreneur turned heads with a stunning diamond necklace reportedly worth $15 million.

Sudha turned heads at the “Fashion Is Art” event in a stunning, made-to-order gown by Manish Malhotra. The dress featured a long, flowing train decorated with a beautiful “tree of life” design and peacocks, and delicate floral patterns accentuated the hips. (You can see photos of all the celebrities at the Met Gala here.)

Sudha completed her look with a beautiful necklace she already owned. The piece is adorned with trilliant and round-cut diamonds and features a striking 550-carat violet-blue tanzanite gem, known as the Queen of Merelani, at its center.

The 47-year-old also wore impressive diamond rings – one weighing 23 carats and another 30 – complementing the accessory. She previously made a statement at the Met Gala last year with a $10 million necklace from the same collection.

Sudha’s outfit was both glamorous, with lots of sparkle, and a celebration of her Indian roots.

Before the event, she shared on Instagram that Hyderabad isn’t just where she’s from—it’s a part of who she is, shaping her perspective and style. She explained that her outfit was designed to capture that feeling and present it in a way that would resonate internationally, while still celebrating her South Indian heritage.

The collection drew inspiration from Kalamkari, a textile art form with a 3,000-year history, and celebrated the rich fashion heritage of the Indian subcontinent.

She explained that the piece is reimagined as a vibrant, three-dimensional form, with each fiber containing a piece of the past. This collection isn’t about looking back, but rather about how things change and develop.

As a longtime admirer of Sudha’s work, I truly believe that’s what costume art is – it’s so much more than just decoration. To me, it feels like a breathing, living history book. It’s a beautiful way to keep our traditions alive, not by freezing them in time, but by letting them evolve, change, and continue to tell their stories with each new creation.
