The challenging action game Hell is Us, known for its difficult gameplay similar to the Souls series, is launching on the new Nintendo Switch 2 on September 24th. Nacon recently announced the news and released a trailer, which you can watch below.
The game, launched last year for Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 5, and PC, tells the story of Remi, a peacekeeper who goes back to his hometown of Hadea to search for his parents. The area is torn apart by civil war, and this conflict is making a dangerous phenomenon called the Calamity worse, creating terrifying creatures that roam the land.
Each character utilizes different feelings to fuel their abilities, and Remi is no exception – he can unleash strong attacks with varied effects. What truly sets Hell is Us apart is its challenging, non-guided gameplay. There’s no map or clear direction; players must piece together information from documents and clues to solve puzzles and discover where to go. The world of Hadea has a complex past, and Remi will soon learn that the troubles within it are far more significant than he initially thought.
This game offers a really engaging adventure, featuring beautifully designed dungeons, though you’ll find yourself retracing your steps quite a bit. You can read our full review to learn more – we scored it a 7 out of 10, highlighting its excellent exploration and immersive world.
