Good news for Grand Theft Auto 6 fans: recent reports from online creators suggest the game may be available for purchase sooner than expected.
After the release of two large trailers, the launch of GTA 6 is now just six months away.
Although fans have worried about a possible delay due to the absence of a new trailer or any recent updates, reports now indicate that pre-orders for the game should be available soon.
YouTuber FrogboyX1Gaming shared a screenshot on Twitter of an email from Best Buy. The email outlines a planned promotional campaign for the upcoming release of GTA 6.
This email is about a promotion for pre-ordering a physical copy of GTA 6, which will take place from May 18th to May 21st, 2026.
After a clip of an email shared by FrogboyX1 went viral on social media, YouTuber TGGonYT confirmed on X that he’d received the same email and that it was legitimate. He questioned whether the email was sent intentionally, saying, “Everything is real, I just can’t believe it.”

More reports have surfaced online, and several Reddit users have also confirmed receiving the same email.
This news supports the rumors that a third trailer for GTA 6 will be released very soon.
Take-Two Interactive, the company that owns Rockstar Games, is holding an earnings call on May 21st, leading many to believe a new trailer will be released shortly before that date.
Considering the second trailer for GTA 6 came out in early May 2025, a release around that time isn’t unreasonable.
Strauss Zelnick, the CEO of Take-Two, has hinted that GTA 6’s marketing will really get going this summer, which makes a new trailer in May seem even more likely.
Honestly, I’m starting to feel really hopeful about GTA 6! Even if the trailer doesn’t drop this week or even this month, everything points to it actually coming out in 2026. It’s looking less and less like it’ll be delayed again, and as we get closer to November, I’m getting my fingers crossed that we’ll finally be playing it next year!
We won’t believe it until we see it, though.

I’ve actually seen their writing on some of my favorite sites like VideoGamer, GamesRadar+, PC Gamer, and PCGamesN, so I know they really know their stuff.
