Red Dead Redemption 2 Free In-Game Items Officially Available Until June 1

Red Dead Redemption 2 is a hugely popular open-world game that people are still enjoying eight years after its release, thanks to ongoing updates and downloadable content. Currently, players can earn exclusive clothing items during the game’s Naturalist event, along with other special bonuses.

Throughout May, there’s an event happening with special Target Races and the Capture Series available from May 26th to June 1st. Players can also get the Black Morning Tail Coat – a perfect addition for any outlaw character.

Red Dead Redemption 2 Has a Major Event This Month

Starting now and continuing until June 1, 2026, a new weekly challenge will be available, offering exclusive cosmetic rewards for completion. The current Naturalist event features a Race Series with triple rewards and 2 Gold Bars, and even more challenges are planned for the future.

Between May 12th and 18th, complete 3 Daily Challenges to get half off an Established or Distinguished item for your Naturalist Role. If you win the featured series between May 19th and 25th, you’ll receive a free emote. Throughout the rest of the month, you can earn the black Morning Tail Coat by selling three samples.

This month brings even more freebies! All players can snag a brand-new outfit inspired by the Red Dead community from the Wheeler, Rawson & Co. Catalogue – no purchase necessary. The outfit includes a Western Homburg Hat and Padded Saddle Work Pants, and there are different versions available for male and female characters.

RDR2 Has Kept People Playing for Nearly a Decade

Despite being released in 2018, Red Dead Redemption 2 continues to be incredibly popular, and its player base has actually grown. The game recently had a peak of 86,717 concurrent players.

Although Red Dead Redemption 2 has kept Rockstar Games fans occupied, anticipation is building for their next title. Fans have been eagerly awaiting an announcement, and while the game is currently scheduled to launch on November 19th, that date still feels a long way off.

We hope the ongoing updates to Red Dead Redemption 2 help make the wait for more content a little more bearable. While the Naturalist event ends on June 1st, more events are planned, giving RDR2 players regular opportunities to return and claim free rewards.
