Rivals star reacts to major season 2 twist: “It’s the lowest he’s potentially ever been”

*Warning: This article contains spoilers for the first three episodes of Rivals season 2.*

Now that the first three episodes of Rivals season 2 are available all at once on Disney+, viewers are likely to watch them back-to-back and eagerly anticipate the rest of the season.

Even though a new episode won’t be available for another week, we can still try to make sense of the dramatic events that unfolded in the third episode – it really was a chaotic situation!

Rupert’s life fell apart when Tony Baddingham launched a damaging attack against him. He was forced to leave Venturer and ultimately resigned from his position as a Member of Parliament.

After that intense situation, Rupert is left questioning his life and how he’s been acting. According to Hassell, in a conversation with TopMob, he’s essentially forced to rethink everything.

He explained that this person has always succeeded due to their confidence, charm, and forceful approach to getting what they want, but now it seems like everything is falling apart.

He’s lost his usual methods of gaining control and asserting dominance, leaving him feeling defeated and at his lowest point yet.

Like any good drama, things can change quickly for the characters in Rivals. One moment someone might be on top, and the next, face a major surprise. It remains to be seen how these twists will affect Rupert’s relationships with his friends, his loyalty to Venturer, his dislike of Tony, and his feelings for Taggie (Bella Maclean). We’ll have to keep watching to find out!

As a big fan of Rivals, I’ve noticed they’re handling this new season a bit differently than the first. Instead of releasing episodes weekly from the start, they gave us a few right away. But now we have to wait a while – the next six episodes aren’t coming out until later this year! It looks like we’re headed for a classic mid-season cliffhanger, which, honestly, I’m totally okay with!

Season two follows the intense competition for the Central South West TV franchise, as the rivalry between Corinium and Venturer escalates into a more perilous stage.

Tony Baddingham is now more determined than ever to destroy his opponents. He’s using damaging rumors and manipulating people close to them to stay in control.

As the extravagant 1980s unfold, the private lives of those living in Rutshire begin to fall apart. The pursuit of success puts a strain on marriages, secret relationships endanger families, and old secrets resurface with dramatic results.

When fierce competition drives people to their limits, friendships and relationships often suffer as everyone strives to win. But at what point does the desire to succeed outweigh the consequences?
