Meghan Markle recently reminisced about her eight-year marriage to Prince Harry, giving fans a glimpse into their 2018 wedding.
On May 18th, photos appeared on Instagram showing Meghan Markle, the Duchess of Sussex, in her simple yet elegant Givenchy wedding dress and long veil. She was pictured with her husband in St. George’s Chapel, where he was wearing his official military uniform.
Meghan shared several photos of herself and Prince Harry, taken by photographer Chris Allerton. She also posted a video of Sir Elton John performing at the event, showing the large crowd that attended.
She simply captured the roundup, “Eight years ago today…”
Meghan also shared a glimpse of the reception, showing herself dancing in a backless Stella McCartney dress and sharing affectionate moments with Harry, who looked sharp in a black tuxedo.
The royal celebration continued beyond wedding photos. Meghan and Harry included their children, Archie, 7, and Lilibet, 4, in the anniversary festivities. A video shared on Meghan’s Instagram Story on May 19 showed the kids singing a special anniversary version of “Happy Birthday” to their mom while Harry presented her with a cake.
As she blew out the candles, one of her children shouted, “Blow them, blow them!” and the other excitedly yelled, “Yay!”
Harry marked the 30th anniversary with a special gift: a bronze sculpture of two penguins snuggled together.
Meghan shared a story with her kids in a video, explaining that when she and her husband got engaged, they celebrated with a party where everyone wore animal onesies. They themselves dressed as penguins!
