Glen Powell Says a Fan Ate Photos of His Face for 80 Days Straight

Glen Powell is glad he’s a running man right about now.

The star of Running Man shared a surprising story about a fan who tried to get his attention by eating printed photos of his face.

According to Glen, a woman in London has been printing and eating pictures of his face every day for the past 80 days. He told The Hollywood Reporter during an interview with Harrison Ford, Riz Ahmed, Owen Wilson, Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, and Zach Braff that she continues this unusual behavior until he offers her a part in a film.

And you can imagine the Anyone But You star’s shock when he heard of the situation.

He said he first learned about this issue while on the red carpet. Someone pointed out to him that a person known for biting others was also present, and he was shocked. He realized it could create a serious problem and expressed his concern, saying, ‘Guys, this is a real liability.’

But that’s not the only zany fan encounter Glen has endured.

The Twisters actor also shared that someone asked him to autograph a photo that turned out to be a personal family picture of Glen’s – one they couldn’t possibly have gotten their hands on.

He added, “So, I’m sitting there like, “Where did you get that?”

When asked if he’d gotten autographs from the other members of the Powell family, the 37-year-old joked that he was the one who finished the job.

Glen doesn’t just experience awkward fan interactions – he’s also been in the position of refusing a photo request. He recently shared a story about turning down a selfie with a celebrity who had faced public backlash.

I was at a Hollywood party recently, and it was pretty wild. Glen told Jake Shane on his podcast, Therapuss, that someone who’d been facing a lot of public backlash was there too. It was one of those events with tons of cameras and press everywhere, you know the type.

I was really excited to meet him because he’d directed some of my favorite films. When he introduced himself, I told him how much I admired his work.

A photographer asked to take a picture of Glen with the celebrity, but Glen refused. He didn’t mention the celebrity’s name.

Glen said the person recently faced public backlash, which was unfortunate. He added that while he used to enjoy their work, he didn’t approve of their recent actions.

I was just trying to be polite,” he explained. “But when they asked for a photo with you, I immediately thought—this might not be a good situation.”
