Fans of the show ‘5’ will be glad to hear that the new psychological thriller, ‘The Fortune,’ will premiere very soon.
The new series, The Fortune, will premiere on Channel 5 on Tuesday, June 2nd at 9pm. The second episode will air the following Wednesday at the same time.
Channel 5’s newest drama is a four-part series featuring well-known actors and a suspenseful storyline, continuing the channel’s tradition of combining recognizable talent with intriguing plots.
I’m completely captivated by this story! It centers around Amanda, played by the wonderful Eleanor Tomlinson – you might recognize her from Poldark. It’s fascinating to watch her journey; she starts out living a normal life, working at a café and enjoying family life, but then everything changes when she unexpectedly learns she’s about to inherit a large estate. It’s such a compelling setup!

Winning such a large amount of money is completely life-altering for Amanda, but she’s baffled to discover she doesn’t know the businessman who left it to her. His family is furious that their inheritance is going to someone they’ve never heard of, and a bitter fight quickly begins, filled with angry accusations and threats.
We recently got a trailer for the series, and it looks really suspenseful! It seems like the kind of show that will have everyone on the edge of their seats.
Alongside Charles Tomlinson in the leading role, “The Fortune” features well-known actors including Matthew Lewis from “Harry Potter,” Callum Woodhouse of “All Creatures Great and Small,” and Nina Wadia, previously known for her role in “EastEnders.”
The show also stars Rebecca Front, known from ‘The Thick of It’, Stephen Tompkinson of ‘DCI Banks’, Paula Wilcox from ‘Trying’, Danielle Walters who appeared in ‘Chewing Gum’, and Denis Lawson, famous for his role in ‘Bleak House’.
Amanda Blakefield enjoys a fulfilling life with her husband, Jimmy, and their son, Luke. However, their happiness is disrupted when Amanda unexpectedly inherits a large fortune from a complete stranger, throwing her life into turmoil.
Amanda finds herself caught up in the complicated lives of the Worrall family, led by Martin, a man haunted by secrets from the past. The more Amanda learns about what happened before, the more disrupted everyone’s lives become.
