EastEnders advanced spoilers tease world-crashing week for Ian Beale in ‘The Night That Changes Everything’

A single night is about to dramatically alter the course of events for long-time EastEnders character Ian Beale (Adam Woodyatt) during a major week of episodes on the BBC soap.

Okay, so EastEnders is doing something a little different. They’ve announced that the episodes following Vicki and Ross’s wedding – all four of them – are being branded ‘The Night that Changes Everything‘. Apparently, the whole thing unfolds over just one night in Albert Square. As a viewer, I’m intrigued – it sounds like a really focused, dramatic arc, and I’m curious to see how they pull off so much in a single evening!

Several prominent families – the Beale-Brannings, Knight-Mitchells, and Fox-Truemans – will become involved in the unfolding drama, but the specific details won’t be revealed until Tuesday.

The trailer, using David Bowie’s “Changes” as its soundtrack, initially showed wedding guests enjoying the reception – laughing and having drinks. But as time passes in the trailer, some characters start to subtly move away from each other and rotate, hinting at something unusual happening.

The soap opera has released a new set of photos featuring Max Branning, along with his children Lauren Beale and Oscar Branning, and his girlfriend, Cindy Beale.

We’ll be following Denise Fox (Diane Parish), her husband Jack Branning (Scott Maslen), and Jack’s mother, Yolande Trueman (Angela Wynter). With the news that Denise will be diagnosed with blood cancer next week, their storyline will probably focus on her illness.

The episode also introduces George Knight (Colin Salmon) and his partner, Nicola Mitchell (Laura Doddington). Perhaps the most interesting pairing, however, is newly elected councillor Ian Beale (Adam Woodyatt) with Chelsea Fox (Zaraah Abrahams).
