Kate Middleton is detailing a cancer diagnosis’ ripple effect.
The Princess of Wales recently spoke about the challenges her cancer treatment posed not just for her, but for her family as well. She shared how “difficult” the past year has been for her husband, Prince William, and their children – Prince George, 12, Princess Charlotte, 11, and Prince Louis, 8 – as they navigated the experience together.
Honestly, hearing Kate talk about it just broke my heart. She was visiting this amazing woman who’d finished cancer treatment – Hello magazine shared the video, and it was so moving – and she just… she gets it. She said she knows how incredibly difficult it is for families, and then she specifically talked about how tough it was for her kids and her parents. It felt so raw and real, like she was speaking directly to anyone who’s been through something similar. I just… I feel so much for her and her family, and it’s just beautiful to see her using her platform to connect with people like that.
As she told the cancer patient’s partner, “You go through it with them.”
Indeed, William and Kate have emphasized how much her battle affected their life at home.
In a video shared online after finishing chemotherapy in 2025, Kate described facing cancer as a deeply challenging and frightening experience, not just for herself but for her loved ones too. She also shared that it brought her face-to-face with her own weaknesses in a way she hadn’t expected, ultimately giving her a fresh outlook on life.
As many of you know, I shared my cancer diagnosis earlier this year, and it’s truly shifted my family’s perspective. It’s been a powerful reminder to appreciate the little things – those everyday moments we often rush past. We’ve all rediscovered the importance of just loving and being loved, and it’s something I’m holding onto tightly.
I was SO relieved when Kate finished her treatment! Then, just a month later, William shared how the kids were doing – he said they were amazing, just constantly learning and taking everything in, even with his dad, King Charles, going through his own health battle. It was a lot, but they’re such a strong family, it’s inspiring to see how they handle everything.

He explained during an October 2025 interview on The Reluctant Traveler that they prioritize their children’s safety and security, and they’re a family that openly discusses difficult topics. However, he added that it’s impossible to predict the full impact of these conversations.
Despite it all, he and Kate held one principle above all else in their family.
He emphasized the importance of supporting one another and letting the children know that everything would be alright.
More than a year after her health challenges, Kate is doing well, and William recently shared how incredibly proud he is of her progress.
He shared on the Heart Breakfast show last month that she’s been incredible, especially considering everything she’s gone through recently. He was very happy that her trip to Italy went so well, as she had been really looking forward to it.

I was so thrilled to hear that Flora Vesterberg is expecting her first child! As a long-time follower of the family, it’s wonderful news. Flora is Princess Alexandra – a first cousin of Queen Elizabeth II – granddaughter, and she and her husband, Timothy, are going to be parents. It’s just lovely!
Okay, I almost fainted when I saw her Instagram post! She announced on January 19th that she and Timothy are having a baby! A BABY! She said they’re ‘over the moon,’ and honestly, SAME! I’m so incredibly happy for them, I’ve been following her for years and this is just… everything!

Prince Harry began a trial at London’s High Court on January 19th, taking on Associated Newspapers – the company behind the Daily Mail, The Mail on Sunday, and Mail Online. He alleges the media group used unethical methods to gather news.
I’m following this story closely, and it’s becoming clear this isn’t just one person speaking out. Along with the initial plaintiff, incredibly well-known figures like Elton John, Elizabeth Hurley, and Sadie Frost are also joining the legal action against the publishing company. It’s a pretty powerful group taking a stand!
Associated Newspapers has “vigorously denied” the claims, according to the BBC.

I’ve been thinking about how thankful I am. It’s like a release – letting go of fears, finding peace with sadness, and truly feeling what it means to live. Nature is a gentle guide through these feelings, helping us remember and heal.
