Although details about Sadie Sink’s character in the new Spider-Man movie are being kept secret, her role in an upcoming FX and A24 love triangle drama has been revealed.
Based on Jeffrey Eugenides’ 2011 novel, The Marriage Plot follows three college graduates caught in a complicated love triangle. As they navigate the transition to adulthood, they’re forced to confront their ideas about love and who they are, ultimately making decisions that will change their lives.
I’m so excited about what FX is planning! Gina Balian, the president of FX Entertainment, has hinted at a really compelling story focused on its characters. She also mentioned how incredibly talented everyone involved is, both the actors and the crew. It sounds like they’re putting a lot of effort into making something special.
The series is being written by Will Arbery, known for his work on Succession and as an award-winning playwright. His play, Heroes of the Fourth Turning, was a finalist for the 2020 Pulitzer Prize in Drama.
Hiro Murai, known for directing acclaimed shows like Atlanta and Barry, will also be directing this series. He recently worked on Widow’s Bay, which you can currently watch on Apple TV+.
Balian said they’re excited to continue working with Will and Hiro, describing them as incredibly talented people they greatly value.

I’m so excited about the new Spider-Man movie! There’s a lot of buzz that Naomi Sink, who’s amazing in Romeo & Juliet right now, might be playing Jean Grey. Marvel isn’t saying anything official, and they’re keeping details pretty close to the vest, so we haven’t seen any confirmation in the trailers or posters yet. But honestly, I’d love to see her in the role!
According to an article in Sohu, the character is a mysterious person with a hidden identity and unclear loyalties.
So, we’re still none the wiser.
Sink has also worked on the critically acclaimed film The Whale, which won Brendan Fraser an Oscar for Best Actor, and the Fear Street horror trilogy on Netflix, adapted from R.L. Stine’s books.
