Following a thrilling season earlier this year, Jujutsu Kaisen Season 3 ended on a cliffhanger, leaving fans with many unanswered questions. The story picks up after the intense events of the Shibuya Incident Arc, showing the fallout from the massive battle that happened during Halloween. Season 3 covered the Extermination and Perfect Preparation Arcs, and then moved into the Culling Games – a deadly battle royale planned by the villain Kenjaku, who was also behind the Shibuya Incident, and involving all sorcerers in Japan. Because the Culling Games has two parts, the anime will finish it in Season 4 before starting the final story arc.
Though Season 3 just finished a couple of months ago, MAPPA, the animation studio behind the show, is already teasing news about its continuation. As part of their 15th anniversary, MAPPA will be revealing details about upcoming projects, including the highly popular anime, Jujutsu Kaisen. A recent announcement on the anime’s official X (formerly Twitter) account hinted at exciting updates to come.
Jujutsu Kaisen Season 4 Will Unveil New Information in June 2026

MAPPA is hosting a special Jujutsu Kaisen event on June 19th, 2026, split into two parts. Voice actors Junya Enoki (Yuji Itadori) and Megumi Ogata (Yuta Okkotsu) will be there. The first part of the event will be part of the MAPPA Lineup Announcement Event, and MAPPA confirmed on X (formerly Twitter) that they’ll share new information about the anime’s fourth season.
The second half of the event will be streamed on the TOHO animation YouTube channel after the main announcement. Both parts will also be released as audio podcasts on Spotify, but only in Japanese. This update marks a significant milestone for MAPPA, who launched an anniversary website and unveiled a new logo back in March.
MAPPA has announced that updates on current and future projects, including popular series like Jujutsu Kaisen, Chainsaw Man, Attack on Titan, and Dorohedoro, will be shared on their official YouTube channel. They’re also planning an exhibition in various Japanese cities, complete with new merchandise featuring specially drawn artwork. The celebration will continue until all the new merchandise is revealed.
Jujutsu Kaisen Season 4 Will Be More Intense Than Ever

The next phase of the Culling Game arc promises to be packed with action and unexpected turns. As the longest arc in the series, it builds towards the climactic showdown with Ryomen Sukuna in Shinjuku. Up until now, the anime has mainly introduced the characters, explained how the Culling Game works, and shown just a few battles.
Season 4 will bring significant changes to the story as a deadly conflict escalates, forcing several key characters to fight. While the sorcerers have found a way to release Satoru Gojo from the Prison Realm, they’ll face numerous challenges in doing so. The season will also reveal Sukuna’s plans, which have been developing since the beginning of the series, and these revelations will dramatically alter the course of the story.
