I’ve been following Attack on Titan for a while now, and it’s truly become a phenomenon, originally created by Hajime Isayama. The anime really took off in 2013 thanks to WIT Studio’s work on it, and they produced the first three seasons. However, after the manga ended, they couldn’t keep up with the production schedule. Thankfully, Studio MAPPA stepped in and did an amazing job finishing the story with some fantastic animation. They covered everything that happened after that four-year jump in time, and while Season 4 wrapped up the main story, they also released some extra episodes and specials to give it a proper conclusion.

Even though the main story of Attack on Titan is finished, the series keeps fans engaged with things like movies, new products, and special events. A big celebration is planned for June 19th, 2026, as part of the animation studio MAPPA’s 15th anniversary. Attack on Titan Has a Major Event Planned In June

I’m really looking forward to the anniversary event! Director Hayashi Yūichirō and Yui Ishikawa, who voices Mikasa, are both going to be on stage. They’ll be having a discussion streamed on the studio’s YouTube channel about how the anime was made. While they haven’t said they’ll be announcing anything big, I’m sure we’ll get some really interesting behind-the-scenes details. This is all part of MAPPA’s 15th anniversary celebration, which they first announced back in March.

Founded in 2011, MAPPA has quickly become a leading animation studio with popular series like Yuri!!! on Ice, Jujutsu Kaisen, and Attack on Titan. To celebrate its anniversary, the studio is sharing updates on current and future projects. They’ve also launched a special website and unveiled a new logo. After announcing the full event schedule, MAPPA will host exhibitions in various cities throughout Japan.

What’s Next For Attack on Titan?

The story suggests the cycle might continue, but so far, the author, Hajime Isayama, hasn’t announced any spin-offs or sequels. He experienced a lot of stress and burnout during the final years of creating the manga, due to demanding deadlines. Despite no plans to continue the main story, the Attack on Titan franchise is still releasing new content and partnerships for fans to enjoy.

Last month, the movie Attack on Titan: The Last Attack returned to theaters in the U.S. and Canada for a special one-night event through Crunchyroll Anime Nights. In addition, the series is launching its first-ever orchestral concert tour, Attack on Titan: Symphony from Paradis. The tour will visit cities across the USA, Europe, and Asia, beginning in October.
