Starting the Event Quest Line

To kick off this occasion, look for any of the Medleyfaire hubs scattered around the world in these locations: Everfall, Monarch’s Bluffs, Weaver’s Fen, and Brightwood. You can identify them easily on your map by the silver flower symbol!

At any of these hub locations, feel free to approach the Medleyfaire Masters on hand. They’re in charge of organizing the event, so conversing with them will help you begin a brief and fundamental storyline that serves as an introduction to Medleyfaire.

Initially, you’ll simply have to gather a few items in the Medleyfaire hub zone, close to the maestro. These items are easily identifiable due to their bright blue and white radiance, as illustrated above. Once you’ve gathered all these items, make your way back to the maestro to finish the first task.

Play Music for the Bugs!

After that, you’ll receive some music sheets. Now, locate Maudlinbug Swarms on your map, they are symbolized by an icon showing a musical bug with notes above its head. Seems like a cheerful bug indeed! So, head towards the locations where these swarm hotspots are marked.

At the Maudlinbug Swarm, you’ll receive a notification to start playing the Maudlinbug Haze tune for gathering purposes. Play it correctly, and you’ll receive both Maudlindust and Maudlinbug Bait as rewards, items that will prove useful later on.

After finishing the tunes, seek out golden areas in your proximity. Interacting with these spots will help you collect additional Maudlindust. However, be cautious as other players might attempt to snatch it from under you! Once you’ve finished collecting, return to a Medleyfaire Maestro.

Time to go Fishing

Now is the perfect moment to demonstrate your fishing prowess and reel in some sturgeons! To do this, head out to any suitable water body and seek out the Aeternum Sturgeon Fishing Hotspots. On your map, these spots will be marked with a fish symbol bearing a golden star, as illustrated above. Keep in mind that these hotspots won’t show up on your map unless you’re in close proximity to them.

In addition, you’ll recognize these special spots by the radiant, leaping fish that appear golden when you’re nearby. Go ahead and fish in these areas like you would any other fishing spot in the game to catch Aeternum Sturgeons. To complete the quest, simply catch one of these fish and bring it back to any Medleyfaire Maestro to hand it over. Furthermore, you won’t need any bait at these event hotspots!

Pro tip! You don’t always have to hunt for Aeternum Sturgeon event hotspots to catch them – Maudlinbug Bait works just fine at regular hotspots too! However, it’s still recommended to seek out Aeternum Sturgeon Fishing Hotspots initially for the best chances of landing a big one.

Additionally, on some occasions, you might find Medleyfaire Caches instead of fish. Opening these rewards a mix of resources and beneficial items for events.

Once you’ve gathered the necessary items, head to any Medleyfaire hub location and seek out the Festival Cart. There, you’ll find a Non-Player Character (NPC) to interact with. This interaction will initiate a trading interface. Using this interface, you can exchange goods like Aeternum Sturgeon Filets and Maudlindust for Medleyfaire Tokens.

After obtaining Medleyfaire Tokens, feel free to visit any Medleyfaire Maestro’s stand. There, you can enter the Summer Medleyfaire Marketplace to begin exchanging your tokens for a variety of prizes such as cosmetics, emotes, weapons, fishing poles, and other items. As you engage in the event and boost your Event Status, you’ll unlock even more of the marketplace. Simply catching Aeternum Sturgeons during the event will help increase your reputation!

Get and use Scaledust Delights from the event shop. It increases your Medleyfaire fishing luck and boosts Fishing XP gained by 25% for 25 minutes.
Get your Focus to 350 if possible. It will grant you a lot of boosts to catching fish, which is a must if you want to max out the event.
Visit the center of every single town daily. You’ll find a Grand Bestowment there, which is just a glowing pile of goodies. Interact with it to claim daily bonuses, such as Coins and Medleyfaire Tokens.
