All 6 MCU Shows Releasing After Eyes of Wakanda

This summer is proving to be quite eventful for Marvel Studios as they launch a new Avengers team in “Thunderbolts” in May, marking the start of the blockbuster season. The film’s post-credits scene generated much discussion, hinting at the arrival of the Fantastic Four, who made their Marvel Cinematic Universe debut in “The Fantastic Four: First Steps”. It’s worth noting that Marvel Studios is not confined to the big screen; they also produce several TV shows annually to broaden the scope of their expanding universe.

As a movie enthusiast, I’ve been thoroughly impressed by the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) releases on Disney+ this year, including “Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man”, “Daredevil: Born Again”, and “Ironheart”. Each show had its unique charm, but none have reached the heights that “Eyes of Wakanda” has scaled. This series masterfully delves into the deep-rooted history of the fictional African nation, making it a standout among the others. In anticipation, here are the upcoming MCU shows on Disney+ hoping to maintain the momentum set by “Eyes of Wakanda”.

1) Marvel Zombies

These days, zombies are extremely trendy, with a show like “The Walking Dead” gaining such widespread popularity that it spawned multiple spinoffs. Now, Marvel Studios is eager to join the undead fray with “Marvel Zombies”, an animated series set to premiere following the events of “What If…?” Season 1 Episode 5 titled “What If…Zombies?.” Key characters from the MCU will be on hand when the zombie menace strikes in October 2025, including Shang-Chi, Yelena Belova, Kate Bishop, and Ms. Marvel.

2) Wonder Man

In December 2025, Marvel Studios will pause their run of animated series on Disney+ to debut “Wonder Man.” This series will focus on actor Simon Williams as he steps into his dream role as a superhero. However, he won’t be going it alone, as veteran performer Trevor Slattery (famous for his portrayal of the Mandarin in Iron Man 3) will guide him. Co-creators of “Wonder Man” are Daniel Destin Cretton, who previously directed Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings and is working on Spider-Man: Brand New Day, and Andrew Guest.

3) Daredevil: Born Again Season 2

The suspenseful endings of shows like Daredevil: Born Again Season 1 might not always be enjoyable, but it certainly justifies its climactic action. The upcoming second season, slated for release in March 2026, will delve into resolving the ongoing storyline. Matt Murdock is assembling a force to combat Mayor Wilson Fisk’s Anti-Vigilante Task Force, and Jessica Jones is one of the initial recruits. Although Krysten Ritter is the only former Netflix actor confirmed for a Marvel Cinematic Universe comeback in Born Again Season 2, there are bound to be more unexpected developments down the line.

4) Vision Quest

The most enigmatic series planned by Marvel Studios is titled Vision Quest, and it will focus on White Vision post his departure from Westview, as depicted in WandaVision. Set to air in 2026, details about the show’s plot are scarce, but we do know that James Spader’s character, Ultron, will make a return. It’s still uncertain how the antagonist of the Avengers comes back from the dead, yet strange occurrences are nothing new in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

5) Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man Season 2

As a die-hard film fan, I’m thrilled about the prospect of live-action Peter Parker squaring off against heavyweights like the Hulk and the Punisher in 2026, leaving ample opportunities for his animated self to battle classic Spidey baddies instead. The second season of “Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man” promises a tense showdown between our hero and the increasingly hostile Norman Osborn, but let’s face it, it won’t be a walk in the park for the villain. Animated NYC is brimming with heroes eager to lend a helping hand whenever Spidey finds himself in a pickle!

6) X-Men ’97 Season 2

Following a remarkable first season filled with poignant instances such as Gambit’s demise and the vanishing act of the main mutant squad, the series X-Men ’97 is gearing up for a second installment. As of now, there’s no set release date for this upcoming chapter, but it promises to continue the narrative immediately following the thrilling climax of Season 1, where two distinct versions of Apocalypse were introduced. This formidable adversary hasn’t played all his cards just yet, and he certainly won’t be lenient towards the X-Men.
