ARC Raiders Gets New Patch With Crash Fixes Ahead of Riven Tides Update Planned for End of April

Embark Studios has just released an update for their game, ARC Raiders, on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S. The update mainly focuses on fixing small bugs and issues that were causing the game to crash. Additionally, players can now find the Nascosto Set and the Scrappy Speckled Set available for purchase in the in-game store.

The game’s store will have new items available next week, according to the developer. However, the upcoming Riven Tides update won’t receive any advance patches. Riven Tides is scheduled to launch at the end of April. You can find complete details about the update in the patch notes linked below.

Here’s the newest update for ARC Raiders, and it mainly addresses bug fixes. We recently released another update that fixed an issue with the Rocketeer’s sound effects – a change players had been requesting. Previously, due to a bug introduced with the Flashpoint update, the Rocketeer was making the same sound as the Vaporizer ARC. This caused a lot of discussion on the game’s subreddit, and players even started a petition asking Embark Studios to resolve it.

In addition to resolving audio problems, the update adjusted how Rocketeers and Vaporizers move when standing still, ensuring their movement feels natural and consistent.

As a big ARC Raiders player, I was really excited about the Flashpoint update! It brought in something new called ARC Operations, which basically changes up the maps. The first one was ‘Close Scrutiny,’ and it added this thing called the Assessor to the map. We’re all running around trying to find it while we’re looting, hoping for some awesome gear. They also dropped a couple of new weapons – the Dolabra, a Legendary Energy shotgun, and the Canto, a Rare SMG that uses medium ammo. It’s a great update overall!

So, I was reading up on what the developers at Embark Studios are planning for ARC Raiders, and it sounds awesome! Apparently, they’re working on making the rope physics way better. The idea is we’ll be able to use ropes to actually trip up those giant ARCs, like bringing them down with a well-placed snag. They even compared it to that classic scene in Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back where they take down an AT-AT with cables – that’s the kind of thing they’re aiming for! It’s going to be super satisfying if they pull it off.

ARC Raiders update 1.24.0 patch notes:

  • Addressed several issues that could cause crashes.
  • Fixed an issue where the Vanguard Set caused model stretching for other players.
  • Fixed an issue that could cause players and ARC to sound quieter than intended when there’s no line of sight on Stella Montis.
  • Fixed an issue causing blurry visuals when AMD FSR Frame Generation was enabled.
  • Fixed an edge case where ziplines could be placed on carriables located on an edge of a ledge, and the player was below the ledge.
  • Fixed an issue where hold-to-use items (such as bandages) could activate automatically if a quick slot swap was interrupted by pressing the fire key.
  • Players who contributed to the Weather Monitor Station Project but couldn’t complete it in time, please check your inbox in-game in the next few days. Also, a reminder that the High-Gain Antenna Project will expire before the Riven Tides update.
