Twisting Towards Control: Engineering Edge States in 2D Materials

This July, Marvel Comics will release the first issue of a five-part series, Predator vs. Planet of the Apes. Written by Greg Pak, who previously worked on Planet Hulk, and illustrated by Alan Robinson (known for X-Men Infinity Comic), this unexpected crossover brings together two iconic science fiction franchises in a story fans are already excited about.

The X-Men have faced numerous conflicts beyond their rivalry with the Brotherhood of Evil Mutants, battling many of Marvel’s strongest villains along the way.

Many fans consider Assassin’s Creed: Black Flag to be a standout title in the Assassin’s Creed series and one of the best pirate games ever made – a standard that Skull and Bones hasn’t quite reached. Set in the Caribbean during the early 1700s, the game blends historical details with exciting pirate adventures. A new remake, Resynced, aims to significantly improve the game’s visuals and overall experience. The developers are using Ubisoft’s Anvil engine – a technology established in 2023 – to give Black Flag a modern, upgraded look.

You may have forgotten about End of Days, the 1999 action-horror film starring Arnold Schwarzenegger. In it, Schwarzenegger plays a disillusioned ex-cop who has to rediscover his faith to protect a young woman from Satan in New York City as the year 2000 approaches. Starring alongside Schwarzenegger are Robin Tunney and Gabriel Byrne. This often-overlooked film is now streaming on Prime Video, having become available on April 1st.

Star Wars props continue to fetch incredible prices at auction. A lightsaber once owned by Darth Vader recently sold for $3.6 million, proving how dedicated collectors are. Before that, Han Solo’s blaster from the original Star Wars movie sold for $1.057 million in 2022 (according to the New York Post). While less than the lightsaber, it’s still a significant amount, especially considering the blaster’s place in movie history, making the high price more reasonable.

The first Bloodlines game was initially rough around the edges, but became a fan favorite thanks to community-made modifications. So, it wasn’t entirely unexpected when Vampire: the Masquerade – Bloodlines 2 also had a difficult launch, receiving a middling score of 62 on Metacritic, including my own review. Despite its problems, the game offers an intriguing story and some memorable characters. Now, it looks like it might get another chance, as The Chinese Room and Paradox Interactive have announced both new downloadable content and another set of significant updates.

I was so thrilled to hear how close Angelina has gotten with her daughter August! Apparently, while getting ready for her new movie, Apex, she and 11-year-old August started rock climbing together. She even brought August to the gym with her and her trainer, the amazing Beth Rodden. It’s just lovely to see them bonding over something so active and fun!

Neal Adams was an incredibly talented artist, and while he’s famous for his work on Batman, his impressive career included many other fantastic titles. His Batman art is rightfully celebrated, but often overshadows the amazing work he did elsewhere. Today, we’re highlighting ten of Neal Adams’s best comic book covers that aren’t Batman related. It’s tough to narrow it down – this list could easily be much longer – but these ten really stand out to me. Let’s take a look at some of Neal Adams’s wonderful art!

PlayStation 3’s user base is shrinking quickly, according to reliable sources like @millieamand. At the beginning of the year, over a million people were still playing on PS3, but that number has dropped by more than 75%. By March, there were only around 240,000 active users worldwide. This steep decline seems to be linked to the removal of the Netflix app from the console in March, which many players were still using.
