Following the events at the end of Stranger Things season 2—where Eleven closed the gate to the Upside Down—Stranger Things: Tales From ’85 quickly grabs your attention by showing how the show’s monsters are created. The core group—Eleven, Mike, Dustin, Lucas, Max, and Will—soon come back together, and the story really gets going when some new characters are introduced.

It explores the fears people have about powerful beings like Superman – the kind of arguments Lex Luthor would make – but also transforms Homelander into something very different from the classic hero. Although Vought International won’t directly call him a god due to potential public reaction, they establish the Democratic Church of America and declare Homelander as “the prophet of the Lord, the prophet of America.” They intentionally emphasize that he’s “not just a man, not just a superman.”

Things are really different in the DC Universe now. After the events of DC K.O., everything’s been shaken up for all the heroes and villains. Superman passed on this powerful Alpha Energy to the fighters in the Omega Tournament, and it’s given everyone these… visions, guiding them on how to prepare for Darkseid’s next move. Honestly, it feels like a complete overhaul since DC K.O. ended, with everyone scrambling to get ready for what’s coming. I’m particularly intrigued by what Guy Gardner is up to – he’s putting together a team for something big, and it sounds important.

The first Bloodlines game was initially rough around the edges, but became a fan favorite thanks to community-made modifications. So, it wasn’t entirely unexpected when Vampire: the Masquerade – Bloodlines 2 also had a difficult launch, receiving a middling score of 62 on Metacritic, including my own review. Despite its problems, the game offers an intriguing story and some memorable characters. Now, it looks like it might get another chance, as The Chinese Room and Paradox Interactive have announced both new downloadable content and another set of significant updates.
