The Most Misquoted Lines in Movie History

Did Darth Vader really say, “Luke, I am your father?” Probably not, though it’s a surprisingly common misconception. It’s fascinating how famous quotes can change slightly over time, gaining a different nuance or meaning. We’ve already compiled a list of misquoted lines, but we’ve discovered so many more that we decided to create a new one.

2026 Spy Movie That Flopped In Theaters Becomes Instant Global Netflix Hit

I’m a big fan of Ryoo Seung-wan, and I was really excited for his new spy movie, Humint. It’s part of a cool series of films he’s been building – it started with The Berlin File back in 2013 (which did amazingly well, making almost five times its budget!) and continued with Escape from Mogadishu in 2021, which was huge that year. Humint is a really interesting story about spies from both North and South Korea who have to team up, and things get even more complicated when romance enters the picture. Sadly, it didn’t do as well in theaters as the other two, making a little over $13 million when it cost around $16 million to make. Still, I thought it was a solid addition to the series!

HBO’s 2-Season Survival Thriller Is So Good, It Revived A Flagging Genre

After a period of inactivity, zombie stories made a big comeback in 2023, taking over high-quality television. HBO’s adaptation of the popular video game The Last of Us—a large-scale, dramatic series—led the charge. The game’s original creator, Neil Druckmann, partnered with Craig Mazin, known for Chernobyl, to bring the beloved story to life on screen.

Sylvester Stallone’s Escape Plan Trilogy Is Now Available on Pluto TV

On April 1st, all three Escape Plan movies starring Sylvester Stallone were added to the platform. This includes the original Escape Plan from 2013, the sequel Escape Plan 2: Hades (2018), and Escape Plan: The Extractors (2019). In each film, Stallone plays Ray Breslin, a security expert who tests the strength of high-security prisons by pretending to be a prisoner and finding weaknesses.

Netflix’s New Scooby-Doo Reboot Still Needs to Break a Historic 24-Year-Old Series Curse

Scooby-Doo was a pioneer in the world of mystery-solving TV, paving the way for shows like Buffy the Vampire Slayer and The X-Files. The series follows a group of teenage detectives as they investigate spooky crimes and uncover the truth behind monsters, urban myths, and famous stories. With Warner Bros. having already tried to revive the franchise multiple times, Netflix needs to understand a key point before releasing its new version.

This 1-Season Fantasy Based On A Bestselling Book Series Is The Perfect Weekend Binge

As a huge fantasy fan, I’ve noticed a trend: so many of the really successful TV shows in the genre are based on books that were already hits. Honestly, it makes sense. Building a fantasy world from the ground up is incredibly difficult, so adapting a story people already love is a smart way to increase your chances of success. A great example, and one that doesn’t get enough attention, is the 2007 show The Dresden Files. It was only twelve episodes, super easy to binge, and I really think it could have blown up if it had gotten more of a chance.
