I believe The Pitt is building towards a story of redemption, and I’m certain the small details – whether you noticed them or not – are deliberately designed to mislead you into thinking the character is falling back into old habits, when he actually isn’t. I’m so confident in this interpretation, I’m willing to strongly defend it as crucial to the character’s development.
Universal is developing Ride Along 3, bringing Ice Cube and Kevin Hart back together after a decade. Tim Story, who directed the first two Ride Along movies and has a strong working relationship with both actors, is also returning as director. The original film followed Ben Barber (Hart), a security guard trying to impress his girlfriend’s brother, James (Ice Cube), a police officer. James brings Ben along on a high-stakes ride-along through Atlanta, leading to a lot of laughs and action.

The film’s exploration of artificial intelligence in the courtroom feels particularly relevant today, even more so than the classic film Minority Report, which touched on similar ideas over twenty years ago.

The new sci-fi series, The Boroughs, comes from the creators of Stranger Things, Matt and Ross Duffer, who are now executive producers. With a new deal taking them to Paramount, they still had several projects at Netflix to launch, and The Boroughs is one of them. Netflix recently released the trailer for the show, which is being described as a more mature version of Stranger Things, and it’s set to premiere on May 21st.
