The Odyssey trailer in full…..
I’m so excited! Christopher Nolan, now Sir Christopher Nolan after winning an Oscar for Oppenheimer, is back with a new blockbuster, and the first trailer for The Odyssey just dropped – it looks incredible!
The story …
The movie follows Odysseus, the king of Ithaca, on his dangerous ten-year voyage back home after the Trojan War. It’s a story about courage, faithfulness, cleverness, and fighting against fate. We see him face famous challenges like the one-eyed giant Polyphemus, the enchanting but deadly Sirens, and the powerful sorceress Circe, finally leading to a heartwarming reunion with his wife, Penelope.
The all star cast….
Christopher Nolan’s latest film is attracting major stars, as he has a reputation for creating successful movies. The impressive cast includes Matt Damon, Tom Holland, Anne Hathaway, Zendaya, Robert Pattinson, Lupita Nyong’o, Charlize Theron, Benny Safdie, Elliot Page, John Leguizamo, Himesh Patel, Bill Irwin, Jon Bernthal, Mia Goth, and Corey Hawkins.
An IMAX first!
As expected, Christopher Nolan’s latest film is presented in IMAX, and IMAX CEO Richard L. Gelfond has revealed it utilizes groundbreaking new IMAX technology. This is the first movie ever filmed entirely using IMAX cameras. To create the film, IMAX developed lighter and significantly quieter 70mm cameras – a welcome improvement, considering Nolan has a history of accidentally breaking them during production! He jokingly confirmed that, despite his past record of damaging cameras (with at least three costing around $500,000 each), he managed to keep them all intact during filming, stating, “I did not destroy an IMAX camera on this film.”
“The Odyssey” will be released in cinemas on 17th July 2026 and is an epic three hours in duration
