Universal Pictures has pushed back the release of the Miami Vice ’85 reboot, starring Michael B. Jordan and Austin Butler, by almost a year. Originally scheduled for August 6, 2027, the film will now arrive on May 19, 2028. Meanwhile, The Mummy 4’s release date has been moved up – it will now premiere on October 15, 2027, instead of May 19th, as initially planned. This news was first reported by Deadline.

While many still remember Timothy Olyphant from his role in the FX series Justified, he recently starred in Alien, a new TV show created by Noah Hawley. The movie, directed by Taccone, shares a similar story with the original: Jason Segel and Samara Weaving play Dan and Lisa, a couple struggling in their marriage who go to a remote cabin for a peaceful getaway. Their vacation quickly goes wrong when it’s revealed they’ve both secretly planned to kill each other. Timothy Olyphant plays Pete, and Lisa offers him a tempting deal to murder Dan. Juliette Lewis, Paul Guilfoyle, and Keith Jardine also appear in the film.
