As many expected, Bloober Team has officially revealed Cronos: Lazarus, a new expansion for their game Cronos: The New Dawn. It will be released this fall on Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 5, PC, and Nintendo Switch 2.
You won’t be playing as Traveler ND-3576; instead, you’ll control the Warden – or, more accurately, the Warden before he became the Warden, when he was known as the Pathfinder. After being abandoned by the Collective, he searches for a crucial figure – a powerful being he refuses to lose.
Even though he’s not fully recovered, the Pathfinder remains a formidable opponent. He prefers to play aggressively and has special skills like creating a distraction and briefly becoming invisible to surprise enemies. He’ll need every advantage he can get, as the developers promise the new challenges will be even tougher than before.
This includes someone sent by the Collective to hunt down the Pathfinder. As you play Lazarus, you’ll uncover more about his history and what turned him into the Warden. Considering how far he’ll go to achieve his goals, it’s safe to say his past isn’t happy.
The release date and price for Cronos: Lazarus haven’t been announced yet, but we’ll share more information in the coming months. You can read our review of the original game now, and a free demo is available on all platforms if you’d like to try it out.
