While many streaming services are now featuring anime, Crunchyroll is still the clear leader. The platform continues to be known as the best for anime fans, and it recently acquired what many are calling the best anime movie of 2025. Last year was a fantastic year for anime, with great shows on TV and exciting releases in theaters. One of the biggest hits was Chainsaw Man The Movie: Reze Arc, produced by MAPPA. It premiered in Japan in September and quickly became a fan favorite worldwide.
Because it was so popular, people who didn’t get to see the Chainsaw Man movie in theaters could rent it on Amazon Prime Video. Now, fans who couldn’t watch it because of where they live or other issues have something to celebrate: Chainsaw Man will be streaming on Crunchyroll starting April 30th! And it will be available in both Japanese and English from day one. While Chainsaw Man fans are excited, there’s still no news about when Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle, the biggest anime movie of the past year, will be available to stream.
Crunchyroll Remains Silent on Demon Slayer’s Streaming Release Date
Although Chainsaw Man The Movie: Reze Arc might have been a better-made film technically, Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle is much more than just the biggest anime movie of 2025 – it’s one of the most successful anime films ever. The movie kept breaking box office records, leading to extended showings in theaters worldwide, including continued screenings in Japan this month. Because of this success, its release on streaming services has been pushed back, and even Crunchyroll hasn’t announced a release date yet. However, it’s clear the film will likely be available to stream sometime this year.
Crunchyroll and Demon Slayer might be handling the Infinity Castle movie differently than other films. When the previous Demon Slayer movie, Mugen Train, came out, it was later released as a series of episodes. They could do the same with Infinity Castle, potentially releasing it weekly with extra content like the ‘Taisho Secret’ segments. This could be why it’s taking so long to appear on the platform. In the meantime, fans can watch Chainsaw Man The Movie: Reze Arc on Crunchyroll starting April 30th, which is shaping up to be a top anime film of 2025 while we wait for more news about the highly anticipated Infinity Castle.
