David Corenswet’s Superman Welcomes Supergirl To Earth In New DCU Movie Clip

A new scene from the upcoming Supergirl movie shows how Kara Zor-El comes to Earth, assisted by Superman.

Just three weeks before Supergirl hits cinemas, ComicBook released a scene from the DC movie featuring Superman greeting Supergirl as she arrives on Earth.

The scene opens with Superman discovering an escape pod, inside of which is his cousin, Kara, and her dog, Krypto – a significant character in the 2025 film Superman. After a moment of shared surprise, Superman greets her with a wave and a simple, “Hi there.” Kara responds in her native Kryptonian, asking, “Are you Kal-El?” Superman is taken aback, admitting he doesn’t understand the language. He explains that he didn’t grow up on Krypton.

Krypto barked at Superman, and Kara gently told him to behave. He then helped Kara step out of the pod, and she noticed the Fortress of Solitude far off in the distance. Superman explained that he didn’t live there, adding that Earth had much more to offer than just that one place. Despite still speaking English, he assured her that she would come to love Earth just as he did.

The scene concludes with Superman telling Kara, after she questions why his cousin is dressed in what appears to be underwear (actually his superhero costume), that her own powers are about to begin manifesting.

More to come…
