This set includes three fan-favorite villains who are joining the game for the first time, and it features more villains overall than any previous edition – and we’re giving you an exclusive first look!

Ravensburger is expanding the popular Disney Villainous game with a new edition called Disney Villainous: Darkness Brewing. This set introduces the Sanderson Sisters from Hocus Pocus as playable characters, alongside returning villains like Maleficent (Sleeping Beauty), the Evil Queen (Snow White), and Ursula (The Little Mermaid). The Sanderson Sisters will play as one combined villain. You can now pre-order the game at Target.

Disney Villainous: Darkness Brewing Is The Perfect Place To Jump Into the Franchise

Okay, so usually when a new Disney Villainous expansion comes out, it has either two or one new villain you can play as. But Darkness Brewing is different – it packs in four new villains! And when you count everyone, there are actually six characters total in the box. Honestly, it’s a fantastic starting point if you’re new to the game. You get three villains from older sets, plus a totally new one to try out, and they even threw in some cool, differently colored movers for the returning villains. It’s a great way to get a bunch of characters all at once!

According to Brenna Noonan, Product Manager at Ravensburger North America, the existing range of Disney Villainous games – with options for two or sometimes just one player – is ideal for current fans looking to expand their collections. However, newcomers often prefer more choices when starting out. Releasing a larger box featuring popular characters like The Sanderson Sisters, especially as the game approaches its tenth anniversary, allows new Hocus Pocus fans to jump right in with everything they need in a single purchase.

In the game, as the Sanderson Sisters, you’re trying to achieve immortality. To win, you need to brew a special life potion and have one of the heroes – Max, Danni, or Allison – drink it. If you’d rather simply include the Sanderson Sisters in your existing game, you can add them with the Come, We Fly expansion later this year.

Great news for fans of Hocus Pocus! A third movie is coming to continue the story of the Sanderson Sisters. And if you’re looking to get into the spooky spirit, you can pre-order Disney Villainous: Darkness Brewing at Target for $29.99. There’s also a new expansion, Disney Villainous: Success At Any Cost, which adds Ernesto de la Cruz from Coco to the game, and it will be available at Target too.
