EastEnders has aired an emotional climax to Ravi Gulati’s (Aaron Thiara) mental health storyline.
Wow, today’s episode started with a real bang! It jumped right into the aftermath of a terrible car crash. Apparently, Priya Nandra-Hart – played by Aaliyah James – was desperately trying to get Ravi to the hospital, and things went horribly wrong. It was a pretty intense opening, to say the least!
Ravi had kept Priya, Avani (Aaliyah James), and Davinder, nicknamed “Nugget” (Juhaim Rasul-Choudhury), locked inside their apartment all day, blocking the door and taking their phones. When the kids tried to escape, Ravi confessed he was responsible for the attack on Nugget earlier in the year, which had resulted in his epilepsy diagnosis.
He was incredibly stressed, and the only thing that could soothe him was the idea of leaving Albert Square and beginning a fresh start.

Priya was rushing him to the hospital, and he quickly noticed signs for the emergency room along the way. However, Nugget started having another seizure, and when Priya glanced away from the road, their car hit the one driven by Max Branning (Jake Wood).
I was so shocked when I heard about George. Apparently, he was driving home with Cindy Beale and their grandson, Jimmy, when another car hit them, and there just wasn’t enough time to avoid the crash. It’s just awful.
At first, it appeared everyone was safe, with Ravi leading his family to the roadside. But then, screams came from the car, and he realized the entire scene was just a frightening vision.

Everyone remained stuck inside, and Ravi wouldn’t leave the car. Priya managed to pull Avani and a confused Nugget from their seats, urging Ravi to get out before things got worse.
Cindy was terrified, trapped in the car because a piece of the dashboard was blocking her. Max’s injured arm prevented him from helping her escape, and the fire was quickly spreading to the hood of the car.
Since Ravi wouldn’t assist, Max had to grab tools from the car’s trunk to get her unstuck. Luckily, he, Cindy, and baby Jimmy had moved just a safe distance away when the vehicle suddenly caught fire.

Ravi left the hospital without Priya noticing and made his way back to Walford. He spent some time alone in the Square Gardens, listening to music, before heading down Turpin Road.
It all started outside the pharmacy, where his family first noticed he was struggling. Ravi then took a chair from The Prince Albert pub and threw it through the window. He followed this by climbing onto a nearby viaduct and sat precariously on the edge of the railing.
It broke my heart watching Ravi run. Priya was right behind him, desperately trying to convince him he could get through whatever he was facing, but he just wouldn’t hear it. Seeing his little dog, Nugget, bolt away only seemed to make things even harder for him. It was a really tough scene.

He felt their relationship was broken beyond repair, with too many past issues to overcome. Luckily, Nugget arrived and offered hope, promising that if he was willing to compromise, things could improve with time.
Residents relaxed when they saw Ravi was safely back on the ground, although the sound of approaching sirens had initially frightened him. A police officer then informed him she needed to take him in for a mental health assessment and led him to her vehicle.
Ravi, feeling scared and disoriented, called out to Priya, letting her know he was feeling better and could come home now.
Will Ravi get the help he needs?
