Universal Kids Resort is set to open on July 1, 2026, and we’ve been given a first look at the shops and merchandise coming to its seven themed lands. Each land will have its own unique store designed to fit the environment – you’ll find dinosaur-themed items at the Jurassic World Adventure Camp and *Trollinspired makeovers at TrollsFest, for example.
As a huge film fan, I love how Universal is approaching their merchandise now. It’s not just about grabbing a souvenir; according to Justin LaFoe, who heads up their global merchandise and retail, they’re really aiming to let fans – both young and young at heart – fully immerse themselves in the movies and bring a little bit of that magic back home with them. It’s about taking the experience beyond the park and making it something you can cherish.
Here’s a breakdown of what fans can expect across the park.
Land-by-Land Store Guide
Jurassic World Adventure Camp

As a huge movie fan, I’m really excited about the new Jurassic World store! They’re going to have everything from dinosaur-themed clothes and cool masks to action figures and even LEGO sets. I especially love the idea of the hatching dinosaur eggs – so cute! They’ll also have these adorable glowing keychains that crack open with a little plush dino inside, and giant, huggable sleeping dinosaur plushies. Plus, if you need a quick dino fix, they’ll have a kiosk called the Supply Depot with hats and clothes you can grab and go.
Nickelodeon’s SpongeBob SquarePants Bikini Bottom
Barg’N-Mart is the place to go for all things nautical, with fun items like SpongeBob and Plankton plushies, rings, and bucket hats. They even have a unique Glove World-themed plush hat that’s a real standout! Next door, the Grab-it Mart kiosk offers everything you need for a day at the beach.
DreamWorks’ Shrek’s Swamp

Triplets Treasures is a great place for families to find fun Shrek-themed items! They sell matching hoodies for kids and adults, plus silly accessories like ogre ears and headbands. You can also find apparel, plush toys, and other goodies featuring Shrek, Fiona, Donkey, and all their friends.
DreamWorks’ Puss in Boots Del Mar

Okay, so the Del Mar land really goes all-in on the experience. Beyond the swamp area, you’ve got ‘Mercado de Perrito,’ which is basically a shop where kids can get decked out in Puss in Boots and other character costumes – total cosplay heaven! And if sweets are more your thing, ‘Tienda de Dulces’ is right next door, offering themed treats to take home. It’s a smart move – gives you something to remember the visit by beyond just the atmosphere.
Illumination’s Minions vs. Minions: Bello Bay Club

Bello Bay Boutique caters to the local Team Yellow versus Team Purple sports rivalry by selling clothing, accessories, hats, and Minion plush toys that represent both teams.
DreamWorks’ TrollsFest

The main store here is Sparkle Shine Glitter Glow, where you can get a complete *Trollsthemed makeover – similar to Disney’s Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique – transforming into Branch, Poppy, or Guy Diamond with costumes, wigs, glitter, and makeup. Nearby, Mr. Dinkles’ Market offers Trolls-themed t-shirts and fun accessories.
Isle of Curiosity featuring DreamWorks’ Gabby’s Dollhouse

Okay, let’s talk shopping. The Universal Kids Resort Store is basically the one-stop shop for everything in the park. They’ve got merchandise from all seven themed lands, plus a ton of exclusive resort gear and collectibles. And if you’re a ‘Gabby’s Dollhouse’ fan, prepare to empty your wallet! They have everything from hats and headbands to adorable plushies and even full outfits. Fair warning, though – you’ll probably be humming the theme song for the rest of the day!
