Okay, so we finally got the full scoop on multiplayer in Forza Horizon 6! After seeing the Prologue and achievement list, they’ve officially revealed how we’ll be racing online. It’s called “Horizon Play” and has six different ways to play. It kicks off with the classics – Horizon Racing and Horizon Drift, which I’m already excited about!
One mode lets you race on different surfaces in a variety of events, like off-road and dirt track racing. Horizon Drift is purely about drifting, and the player with the best score wins. Returning favorites include Eliminator, which is similar to a battle royale, and Hide and Seek, where five players try to find one hidden racer.
Two new racing modes have been added. Spec Racing puts everyone in the same car for both road and off-road races, so the most skilled driver wins. Touge Showdown is a head-to-head mode where you race on twisty mountain roads. You can also find options to create your own custom races further in the menu.
Forza Horizon 6 offers a lot of variety right away, and it will be interesting to see how the developers at Playground Games add to it in the future. The game comes out on May 19th for Xbox Series X/S and PC, and is included with Game Pass. PlayStation 5 players will be able to play it later in the year.
As a huge fan of Horizon, I’m so excited about Horizon Play! It’s basically the place to go for all the best multiplayer action. You can jump into old favorites like The Eliminator, or check out the newer modes – Spec Racing and Touge Showdown sound amazing! Honestly, I can’t decide which one to try first – what about you?
