Resurrection Games’ Game of Thrones: Masters of Intrigue is a fun, fast-paced trick-taking card game ideal for gatherings with friends and family. Designed for ages 11+, it supports 3 to 5 players and usually takes between 15 and 25 minutes to play. It costs $24.95 and will officially be available starting June 15, 2026, but you can pre-order it now.

Trick-taking games involve players taking turns playing cards in rounds. The player who plays the highest card wins the round, called a “trick,” and the goal is to win the most points to win the overall game. The first version of Masters of Intrigue lets players take on the roles of powerful Houses – Baratheon, Lannister, Greyjoy, and Tyrell – from the series. Each House is led by a unique ‘master of intrigue’ card, which is one of the strongest cards you can play.

At the beginning of each round, one player becomes the Hand of the King. That player leads by playing a card, and everyone else chooses to either support the leader or rebel against them, based on the card they play. Points are earned by winning ‘tricks’ – which depend on whether allied or rebel cards are played more often – and players aim to score as many points as possible each round. The game continues until all cards are used, then final scoring determines the winner.
