GOG is currently offering three beloved PC games from the 1990s as free downloads until May 8th. These classic games, which usually cost money to purchase on the GOG platform, aren’t available on Steam or the Epic Games Store. Because GOG is the only place to get these games, it’s a great opportunity to add them to your collection without paying!
Three classic PC games are currently being given away for free. They were all created by X LanD Computer Games, a Polish development studio that is now defunct. The games are The Adventures of Robbo (originally released in Poland in 1989, but came to the US in 1993), Hearthlight (from 1990), and Electro Man (released in 1992).
Electro Man

Electro Man is a platformer game made only for MS-DOS computers. It’s historically significant as one of the first professional-quality PC games developed in Poland. While it was highly praised by critics in Poland when it launched, it received more mixed reviews internationally.
The game puts you in the role of Jacek, a man living on a space station filled with people. When aliens attack and kill most of the inhabitants, including his family, Jacek returns as a cyborg, driven by a thirst for revenge.
Heartlight
Heartlight is a puzzle game originally released in Poland in 1990, and later in the United States in 1994. It first appeared on Atari 8-bit computers, but was eventually ported to other systems. When it was first released, it received mixed reviews.
I’m really getting into this game! Basically, you play as an elf named Percival and your job is to collect hearts and get through each level. It reminds me a lot of classic games like Boulder Dash and Supaplex – if you liked those, you’ll probably enjoy this one too!
The Adventures of Robbo
Originally released in Poland in 1989, the puzzle game Adventures of Robbo gained popularity there before arriving in the United States in 1993. While it didn’t receive overwhelmingly positive reviews initially, it has since become a beloved cult classic in Poland.
Like Heartlight, The Adventures of Robbo takes a lot of inspiration from the game Boulder Dash. You play as a robot navigating planetary levels, collecting bolts while trying to survive.
