Nacon Connect 2026 Showcase Announced for May 17th

So, even though Nacon’s been having some money troubles, they’re still doing their Nacon Connect event! It was originally planned for March, but they pushed it back because of the economy. Good news though – they just dropped a new teaser and confirmed it’s happening on May 17th. I’m definitely checking it out to see what new gaming gear and games they’re showing off!

The preview features several games from Nacon’s studios, such as The Mound: Omen of Cthulhu, Edge of Memories, Endurance Motorsport Series, and Hunter: The Reckoning – Deathwish. The showcase will include new trailers, and we expect to see release dates announced for many of these games.

On July 15th, players will be able to experience The Mound: Omen of Cthulhu on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S. Hunter: The Reckoning – Deathwish is planned for release sometime in Summer 2027, but a firm date isn’t available yet. The game was first revealed with a trailer last month.

In February, Nacon announced it was facing bankruptcy and its stock trading on the Euronext Paris market was halted. The company stated it urgently needed to reorganize its finances because it didn’t have enough money or assets to pay its debts on time.

I just heard some really worrying news! Apparently, after the recent announcement, the company stopped paying people at Cyanide Studios, Spiders, and Kylotonn. It sounds like around 320 employees are affected, which is just awful. I’m really hoping things get sorted out quickly for everyone involved.

This situation prompted the French video game workers’ union—Syndicat des Travailleureuses du Jeu Video—to criticize the company, arguing its choices could force its own studios into bankruptcy.

The union stated that years of poor management and a lack of clear strategy at both the group and company levels have prevented the studios from updating, streamlining, and growing. Despite spending tens of millions of euros – funds that should have secured the studios’ financial health and employee job security – Nacon is now reporting a loss.

Temporary fixes, such as halting hiring and raises for over a year, or simply relying on buzzwords like ‘AI’ – which Nacon is pushing onto its studios without a clear plan – won’t solve the company’s financial problems. Years of worsening working conditions, and the creation of new studios seemingly designed to undermine existing ones, were already roundabout ways to cut staff, and they’ve only made things worse.

The Syndicat des Travailleureuses du Jeu Video is calling for Nacon’s leadership team to be replaced. They are also pushing for improvements to working conditions, measures to stop developers from leaving, and better resources to help them do their jobs.

Spiders, the studio behind the RPG GreedFall: The Dying World, has been particularly impacted by recent events. In March, its parent company, Nacon, announced it was seeking to sell Spiders and had initiated a process to find a buyer.
