Injustice 3 Reportedly Spotted on Warner Bros. Artist’s Resume

Rumors about Injustice 3 have been circulating since leaks appeared within the MultiVersus community last year. Now, it seems more likely the game is in development, as MP1st discovered a Warner Bros. Games artist listing it on their resume.

The screenshot shows two upcoming games that haven’t been officially announced yet: Hogwarts Legacy 2 (which Warner Bros. Games has already confirmed is in the works) and Injustice 3. Both titles currently have “TBD” listed beside them, suggesting their final names might change.

Although NetherRealm and WB Games haven’t announced it yet, a new Injustice game might come sooner than people think, potentially after they finish supporting Mortal Kombat 1. Ed Boon, the studio head, mentioned in June 2023 that they were working on upgrading to Unreal Engine 4. He also explained that starting Injustice 3 right after Mortal Kombat 11 would have actually delayed its release.

Considering all the development work already done, a release for Injustice 3 next year seems likely. Mortal Kombat 1 sold well with eight million copies, but it faced criticism regarding how players paid for extras, the Invasions mode, and the story. You can read our detailed review to understand why Mortal Kombat 11 was ultimately more successful, even though Mortal Kombat 1 had better fighting mechanics.
