Today marks the first PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium game update of 2026, adding nine new games to both subscription services. These games are available for download now in the UK and Europe, and will be released in the USA later today.

PS Plus Premium: January 2026

Unlike the basic PS Plus Essential plan, the games available on the PS5, PS4, and Classic platforms through PS Plus are only playable as long as they’re included in the service. This means if a game is eventually removed from PS Plus, you’ll no longer be able to play it.
Most players seem pleased with this month’s game update. Our recent weekend poll showed 57% of Push Square users are happy with the games offered. Only 7% thought the selection was poor, which is a surprisingly good result compared to previous months. Popular titles like Resident Evil Village and Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth likely contributed to the positive response.
