The two country singers recently acknowledged their long-running disagreement in their new song, “Horses and Divorces,” which is featured on Kacey’s album Middle of Nowhere. The album came out on May 1st.

As a lifestyle expert, I’m always fascinated by genuine connection, and this moment between Kacey and Miranda really highlights that. It’s so refreshing to hear them both admit to having said things they maybe regret. Kacey starts it off, acknowledging she’s spoken about the other, and Miranda immediately follows up by owning her own share of gossip – it’s a beautifully honest exchange, showing they’re both human and willing to admit when they’ve not been perfect.

As someone who follows celebrity relationships closely, it’s fascinating to see how things unfold. Miranda and Kacey really dig deep into their past conflicts throughout the song. It’s interesting considering Miranda’s journey – she and Blake Shelton divorced back in 2015 after four years together, and now she’s been happily married to Brendan McLoughlin for seven years. It just shows how people grow and change, and how relationships evolve.

And the best part? It playfully points out that everyone loves Willie Nelson. Seriously, who doesn’t appreciate a legend like Willie? It’s a fun little observation about those universal connections we all share.

The conflict between Miranda Lambert, 42, and Kacey Musgraves started early in their careers. Kacey wrote a song called “Mama’s Broken Heart” and it was submitted to Miranda without Kacey knowing or agreeing to it.

Kacey originally planned for the song to be the first release from her first EP, which created a bit of a challenge, as she described.

She told NPR that she grew to love the song and desperately wanted to keep it, but she also had to think about the other songwriters she’d collaborated with.
