Kingdom Come Deliverance Creator Mocks Ubisoft, Says It Could Make “10 KCD2-Sized Games” Every Year

The company announced a loss of 1.3 billion dollars this year, which is a record low. However, they are optimistic about a significant turnaround in the future.

The situation has sparked a lot of online discussion, and recently, Daniel Vávra, a co-founder of Warhorse Studios, shared his thoughts.

Kingdom Come Deliverance Creator Mocks Ubisoft’s Huge Workforce

Vávra shared on X (formerly Twitter) that Ubisoft now has 16,600 employees following recent layoffs. He pointed out that this is roughly equivalent to the size of 70 studios like Warhorse.

He explained that with this many employees, they could create ten large-scale games similar to Kingdom Come Deliverance 2, releasing one each year after a seven-year development cycle.

He ended his remarks with a playful question, wondering if the recent drop in Ubisoft’s stock price meant it was a good time to invest.

Ubisoft is getting ready to release a revamped version of Assassin’s Creed Black Flag, called Black Flag Resynced, on July 9th. The game is a complete rebuild of the popular 2013 title. Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot has also announced that they’re working on two new Far Cry games and multiple Assassin’s Creed projects, with plans for both single-player and multiplayer experiences.

This demonstrates Ubisoft’s efforts to overcome recent challenges. The company is now prioritizing its most popular franchises to regain player confidence and improve performance in the future.
