A new game coming exclusively to Xbox Series X looks promising for fans of Stardew Valley and other relaxing farming simulators. It features a cozy atmosphere and focuses on everyday life. However, players will have to wait until 2027 to experience it, so some patience will be needed!
Developer Cinnadev is launching its first game, Delphinium, published by Serenity Forge. We learned about the game at a recent Xbox event during GDC, which likely explains why it will initially be available on Xbox consoles. However, this exclusivity is probably temporary. Interestingly, while the game is working with Xbox, it hasn’t been confirmed as a day-one release on Xbox Game Pass – something many ID@Xbox games offer. That said, there’s still a chance that could happen.
Another Cozy Farming Sim
Delphinium is a relaxing farming game with a focus on everyday life, but it also explores some heavier themes. You play as Haiyan, who returns to her childhood home – a small, secluded mountain village – after the passing of her beloved older brother.
In Delphinium, you’ll rebuild your town and get to know its nine residents by farming, fishing, and cooking. Though it features several different ways to play, the game focuses on storytelling, with your choices directly impacting the narrative.
Currently, the game’s demo shown at GDC isn’t available on the Xbox Store, though that could change as the release date approaches. As for when you can actually play, the game is only slated for a 2027 release, and there’s no information about how much it will cost yet. We don’t know when Xbox fans will get another update, but it’s likely to happen sometime this year. In the meantime, fans who enjoy relaxing games have several other titles to look forward to in 2026.
