The fourth season of Bridgerton is here, and it’s full of drama! This time, the story centers on Benedict Bridgerton, who’s left to manage the family while his brother is traveling in India. He initially continues his carefree lifestyle, but unexpectedly falls for a captivating woman wearing a silver mask. What he doesn’t know is that she’s Sophie Baek, a maid working for his stepmother. Their connection leads to plenty of playful trouble, and as you can expect from Bridgerton, there’s a lot of both passionate romance and heartfelt emotion along the way.
Season 4 Reminds Us Why Bridgerton is So Enduring
The third season of the show felt a bit off track, with Penelope and Colin’s romance feeling hurried and not as fully developed as previous seasons. Their story lacked the emotional depth and beauty that fans had come to expect. However, the show found its footing again with Benedict and Sophie’s storyline, and especially with the poignant events surrounding Francesca and glimpses of what’s to come for her. As critic Lady Jenevia put it, the romance between Benedict and Sophie is beautifully done and carries the season, even though the large cast feels a bit overwhelming for just eight episodes.
