Like the previous installments, the sixth Scary Movie heavily references the Scream films that originally inspired the series, even adopting a title initially intended for one of those films. The movie begins with a typical celebrity cameo – Teyana Taylor playing a familiar character – and a line from her previous work, before launching into the main storyline. And that storyline is very familiar: a Ghostface killer is terrorizing the town of Woodsboro, just like in several of the earlier movies.

It’s amazing – the film has been in the Top 10 for over 700 days now, which really shows people are still watching and wanting more. Though, it’s still got a ways to go to beat another movie’s record of 774 days in the Top 10!
