Capcom hasn’t suggested any problems, and it’s encouraging to hear development is proceeding smoothly. We might see a release date announced at either the next State of Play on June 2nd, or at the Summer Game Fest showcase on June 5th. Capcom has regularly featured content in both events, so either one is a likely possibility.

For years, DC Comics has wavered between these two explanations, but the latest issue of Wonder Woman (#33, released in 2023) officially confirms that Diana was not the result of an affair with Zeus, and the clay origin is once again considered the true story.

Calling the ending a cliffhanger doesn’t quite fit, as the story is actually finished. Now, fans are left hoping the author will provide a proper conclusion in the tenth book. Even before the last episodes aired, it was known the show would diverge from the books, meaning Gabaldon might offer a more definitive ending in her version. But does that mean the TV show’s ending is truly this, and viewers simply have to accept it? Perhaps not.
