
Tero Virtala is no longer the CEO of Remedy Entertainment, effective immediately. Markus Maki will take over as interim CEO while the company looks for a permanent replacement.
Virtala served as CEO of Remedy Entertainment since August 2016.
Maki is a founding member of Remedy Entertainment and has served on the Board of Directors since 1995. He was the Chairman of the Board until recently becoming interim CEO. As CEO, he will remain on the Board but step down as Chairman. Henri Osterlund, who has been a Board member since 2017, will take over as Chairman. Maki also continues to be part of the company’s production management team.
Maki expressed gratitude to Tero Virtala for his significant work leading Remedy since 2016. In a press release, Maki also personally thanked Tero for their positive working relationship and wished him success in his future endeavors.
