Even though SAROS only has 19 weapons, you’ll have plenty of options to choose from each time you play. With a variety of weapon types—like Handcannons and Crossbows—there’s a perfect fit for any situation and how you like to play.

This guide is a listing of the best weapons and all four power weapons to be found in SAROS.

Best Handcannon

Shattered Rise

Okay, so I’ve been playing around with the Handcannons, and while you can get all three right at the start, the Ricochet Handcannon is seriously cool. It just tears through enemies, especially when they’re grouped up! What’s really neat is that its bullets actually bounce off walls and stuff, which is awesome for hitting targets you might miss otherwise. It’s effective in both regular and alternate fire modes – it’s quickly become my go-to!

Shattered Rise

The Smart Rifle is one of three rifles available, and it has a special ability: its alternate fire mode can lock onto enemies. This is particularly useful because the rifle also fires very quickly.

Ancient Depths

The weapon’s main firing mode shoots a typical spread of projectiles. However, its special ability – a grenade launcher – is where it really shines. This grenade explodes on contact, dealing damage over a wide area.

Best Crossbow

Shattered Descent

This crossbow combines the best firing features of our other designs. You can charge the primary fire to load up multiple bolts, then release them in a spread that automatically tracks targets – just release the trigger or dash to fire.

The weapon has a secondary firing mode where it shoots a single projectile. If this projectile hits a vulnerable spot on an enemy, it breaks apart into smaller projectiles that will automatically track and follow the target.

Acolyte’s Heaven

R2’s primary attack launches projectiles that embed themselves in enemies, causing them to take extra damage over time when using the secondary fire mode.

Hold down L2 and press R2 to fire a staggering area-of-effect explosive round.

Dispiritor

Ancient Depths

This weapon deals damage over time and can be repeatedly aimed at multiple enemies. When an enemy is defeated by this weapon, it creates a temporary turret that fires projectiles.

Nova Lance

Desecrated Fortress

Hold down both L2 and R2 for a charged penetrating shot that only fires on release.

Illumine

Cathedral

Fire a charged-up lock-on beam that does persistent damage based on Power availability.
