With the release of Saros – a game taking players to the mysterious city of Carcosa – just days away, the developers at Hourmarque have shared a new preview of the challenges awaiting the main character, Arjun, as he investigates the fate of his team.
This game definitely feels like a Housemarque title, but the recent gameplay footage reveals some new features that will make it different from their past games. Though the player moves through the levels very fast, we get a glimpse of dangerous enemies eager to attack with projectiles.
Arjun’s powerful weapon and the new Soltari Shield are both incredibly effective – both in terms of story and how they function in the game. The combat is a spectacular display of explosions and gunfire, offering a satisfying and potentially addictive experience once you learn the ropes.
We were hoping to get a better look at the much-discussed Corruption Bullets during our time with the game. However, we’ll need to wait until April 30th to fully test them out (or April 28th if you purchase the Deluxe Edition, which includes early access). You can find more information in our detailed article.
