The final trailer is out for Sony’s Spider-Noir, the new TV show starring Nicolas Cage. 2026 is shaping up to be a big year for superhero shows, with Wonder Man, Daredevil: Born Again Season 2, Lanterns, and more all scheduled to premiere. But Spider-Noir is generating a lot of buzz as a fresh take on the Spider-Man story, featuring a darker, grittier version of the hero who doesn’t follow the usual Marvel formula. With the show launching in less than a week, Sony just released this last look.
The latest trailer perfectly highlights how unique Spider-Noir will be, featuring Nicolas Cage as Ben Reilly and a look at the rest of the cast. Like previous versions and the show itself, you can choose to watch it in color or black and white. This trailer also finally explains why Spider-Noir has so many villains: something is happening in New York that’s causing people to develop superpowers.
“With No Power Comes No Responsibility”

Everyone knows Spider-Man’s famous line: “With great power comes great responsibility.” But in Spider-Noir, the idea is flipped. Nicolas Cage’s version of Spider-Man argues that if you have no power, you have no responsibility. This Spider-Man is worn down and has seemingly retired, echoing the “Spider-Man No More” storylines from the comics. However, he’s pulled back into action when an old case becomes personal – it turns out one of his enemies, Sandman (played by Jack Huston), is a close friend.
The primary antagonist is undoubtedly Abraham Popoola’s Tombstone. It’s currently unknown if he’s causing the strange mutations, or if he’s also affected by them – the latter would be a surprising and exciting development, adding to the overall confusion. The trailer prominently features Li Jun Li as Felicia Hardy, the Black Cat from the Spider-Noir universe – a character fans have been hoping to see in a live-action movie ever since Sam Raimi’s Spider-Man 4 was cancelled. There’s a fun scene where Cage playfully mimics scratching like a cat, referencing her nickname.
Spider-Noir is shaping up to be a truly different kind of superhero show. It fully leans into its film noir inspiration, even offering a black-and-white viewing option. The latest trailer shows a great mix of dark, gritty storytelling with a touch of 1930s fantasy and a surprising amount of humor. Overall, Spider-Noir looks like a show you won’t want to miss.
