The new strategy game, Star Wars Zero Company, will be released on August 27th for Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 5, and PC, just as many expected. But the most exciting news is the new trailer, which gives a great look at the game’s tactical gameplay and story-driven experience developed by Bit Reactor.
Playing as the Hawks, you lead a diverse team of mercenaries gathered from all over the galaxy. Your squad includes a Jedi, a surprisingly good sniper from noble background, former Separatist soldiers, and even astromech droids! If you’re familiar with the game XCOM, you’ll find that using cover, flanking enemies, and setting up overwatch positions are all crucial to success.
One of the most exciting surprises is the appearance of Anakin Skywalker. Because the story takes place during The Clone Wars, we see him before he becomes Darth Vader. It’s possible Zero Company’s actions will lead to a clash with him, but he could also end up being an ally. We’ll have to wait and see!
