Teddi Mellencamp is getting real about her health.
A former cast member of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills revealed that her doctor wouldn’t prescribe her weight loss drugs, despite her battle with stage 4 cancer.
On the April 23rd episode of her podcast, Two T’s in a Pod, Teddi revealed she considered trying weight loss drugs after her cohost, Dolores Catania, said she was using them actively.
Teddi Mellencamp, a health and wellness coach currently battling cancer, explained that she spoke with her oncologist about using GLP-1 medications. She mentioned she’d gained weight as a side effect of her steroid treatment and hoped the medications could help.
She added, “And he was like, ‘No!'”
Dolores lamented that Teddi was denied the medication.
“I feel bad someone turned you down,” the Real Housewives of New Jersey star explained, “but honestly, I probably wouldn’t have agreed anyway!”
Teddi, 44, who shares three children – Slate, 12, Cruz, 11, and Dove, 6 – with her ex-husband Edwin Arroyave, playfully mentioned she could find ways to get weight-loss drugs like GLP-1s if she decided she wanted to.
“I mean, I know people where I could get it,” she explained. “I have friends that do it.”
Teddi responded to a playful comment from Dolores by explaining the confusing and conflicting advice she’s been getting from her doctors.

“Seriously, give me a break,” she said, exasperated. “Everyone keeps telling me to live my best life, but I can’t even… Live my best life? And what about getting access to weight loss medications like GLP-1s?”
The podcast host added, “F–ker!”
Teddi recently opened up about her personal life, first revealing she’s dating someone older, and now sharing another personal detail.
Honestly, I was completely taken aback by her outburst. She just blurted out, “Seriously? Let me live!” It was so funny because she’s always going on about living your best life, but then immediately complained about not having access to GLP-1 medications – you know, the weight loss drugs. It was like, ‘Practice what you preach!’ It really highlighted the irony of the whole situation.
